Getting Started with Google My Business
- Log into the Gmail account you want to have associated with your business account.
- Go to: https://www.google.com/business/
- Click the button that says “Get on Google.”
- First, search for your business name and location. In some cases, you may already have a business page. If you don’t have a page, select “Add Your Business.”
- Complete the form by entering your business information and then click “continue.”
- You will be prompted to verify your information and check that you are authorized to manage this business.
- After you click continue, your Google+ page will be created.
TIP #1: Be sure to verify your business listing by requesting Google send you a postcard. This postcard will contain a code that you enter into your Google+ page. Once you verify your listing, your business will appear in Google maps.
TIP #2: Be sure to add your logo to your Google+ page so viewers can recognize your brand. It’s also a good idea to upload relevant photos such as your staff members, your office, portfolio, or awards you have received.
